Form says thanks but nothing arrives? Test it live
A contact or signup form can look perfect after deploy and still lose every submission. The button spins, a "Thanks!" appears, and nothing ever reaches your inbox or database.
Common causes in AI-built apps:
- The submit handler catches the error and shows success anyway.
- The email or webhook API key is set in preview but missing in production.
- A database policy blocks the insert, and the error is never shown.
The fix: after every deploy, submit your live form once with a real address and confirm the row or email actually arrived. In the code, only show "Thanks" after the request returns a success status, and show a clear error otherwise.
